Lately, I've been learning about and practicing the gray scale and how to understand light. The goal: texture retention. Although the scene and composition are minimal, it also allowed me to isolate and focus on a few key elements. The amount of editing on all these images is minimal.
Alice is one of the few gay women that I know who is proud and outspoken about her identity: gender, ethnicity, and sexuality. We both share a concern for Asian American representation in the media (as well as people of color in general), as we met through an aspiring filmmaker (also Asian). Here's to seeing more women of color on the big screen!
